What I Did This Weekend

What I did this weekend....
I made tomato and cucumber salad with Jack's Hanover tomatoes (Jack is my boy
friend) fresh dill and my first and maybe only cucumber from my garden. And made
carrot and raisin salad for Jack.

Made mini tomato pizzas with the Hanover tomatoes and my garden's fresh basil.
I got the recipe from the blog My Enchanted Home via the blog Stone Gable. Very
yummy, I got one, Jack had three.

Saturday, I cut butterflies out of pretty Japanese paper to attach to sticks(branches)
and grapevine wreaths. These poor plain items needed a little attention. Maybe it

will help them sell and yes I was bored. And today I brought in flowers from my garden.
Some how a graduation picture of my daughter slipped in.

Discount Fabric Web Sites

I posted earlier this week about buying fabrics on line.
Before we had so much access to on line shopping, you
could only by fabrics through a decorator or at fabric
stores. Now that there are more that I can mention on line,
the possibilities are endless. I can even find my top fabric

lines on websites at prices lower than my decorator discount. I sometimes buy from
these discount websites for my in store redo projects to keep the cost down, it helps

things sell faster. Above are pictures of my fabric samples, wallpaper books and trims.
And pictures of fabric projects made with discount fabrics, discontinued samples and
left over fabric.

On line Shopping For Fabric Bargains

I have been shopping for fabrics on line for a couple
of years now. The prices are sometimes cheaper than
my decorators discount which means I don't have to
price my projects as high for my retail store. It's a
win win situation. Check out the dining room chairs
that I had my new furniture guy. JonJo, repair and
stain, the fabric I scored from Warehouse Fabrics
Inc.com, $9.88 per yard.

This fabric is very old school Traditional. Once they have been upholstered I will
sell them on the floor . The price tag will be, Furniture repair x fabric x upholstery
x two = $$$. I also purchased a Peacock fabric remnant for 4 yards at $25.00,
not sure what I am going to do with it yet.And before I go, I have to tell you what
I found at the antique mall in Verona, a cute chaise lounge marked at 1/2 off, a real
score of $115.00. I forgot to take a picture of it, my upholsterer has already picked
it up from there. Will past a picture when it is done.

New Chinese Chippendale Bench/ Chinoiserie Chic

Remember the $63.00 bench I bought? After painting it, finding some
awesome Chinese Pagooda Chinoiserie fabric and some way over the
top trim. Yes, I did go a little over the top with the trim. The bench was delivered today!
$65.00 for the bench , around $100.00 bucks for the trim and fabric, and $50.00 to
upholster the bench. What for it.........

My Dining Room/ Before and After

Old Dining Room

I am painting the dining room, my 4th of July project. I am getting rid of the
the last of the peach walls....

The work has begun, the room has been emptied. A clean slate and the color has been chosen.
Valspar's New England Clam Chowder AR715. Once the walls and upper trim have been
painted, the rug will be removed and the base trim will be painted. Keep your fingers crossed

that the wood floors underneath are in good shape.
