A couple of months ago I bought an antique
Duncan Phyfe Sofa to redo.
I found a neutral fabric in a tan and white Greek Key cotton. And had the sofa
reupholstered. see the end results.....
Isn't she a beauty?
Last Sunday my sister and I took my Mom out to Barren Ridge Vineyards
to celebrate her birthday. It was a beautiful day, we did a tasting, Mom's
husband Ted joined us and we had wine and food on the terrace.
I got into trouble for posting these pictures on Facebook with Mom's age. Oh well,
embrace life and your age. i am 53!

Vintage Fabric Covered Dressing Table
A couple of months ago I purchased a vintage wood dressing
table from Queen City Marketplace that an old vendor had left
behind.
table from Queen City Marketplace that an old vendor had left
behind.
I purchased a very pretty, girly fabric from fabric.com, 6 yards total.
It was a little sheer so I had to purchase some liner to get the look I wanted.
I had to do most of the measuring, cutting and sewing on my dining room table.
And I finished the table off in the store with some left over trim I had in the store.
I also added a tassel because I was a 1/2" off in trim, very creative right?
I usually have a piece of glass or a mirror cut for the top, this time I will
leave that call up to the buyer or purchaser. I totally rearranged my spaces
to get ready for the holidays and added the table to the window. Very festive
and hopefully it will help my sales. We have been drowning in rain, notice the
dark pictures, and my sales have been down. Come on people, do some shopping!
All this goodness can be found in Queen City Marketplace in Historic
Downtown Staunton.
