I have had a on full week this week!
Snow on Monday, I did sell something
on Ebay. Dog grooming on Tuesday.
A doctors appointment on Wednesday,
a box of Easter stuff came in, I sold a
lamp shade on Etsy that had to go to
the post office. Here is some of the Easter
stuff.........
I also had a few items come in from a friends father's house and an old neighbor brought
in some fun items. So the store is really full and needs an overhaul.
Thank God it is Friday!

First Signs of Spring
Friday, when I was walking around in my yard,
enjoying the warm afternoon, I spotted a few
blooms. This is the first sign of Spring. I don't know
about you, but I am ready for it!
Snow Drops and the Lenten Rose. Enjoy your week.

Fresh Flowers and More New Arrivals
Last Friday I planned a dinner for a new friend of mine
who needed a little pampering. He is going through a
nasty divorce. I planned a dinner that I had seen on
Food Network by Ina Garten's Surprise Italian Dinner.
Simple steak, fennel and warm salad. This left plenty of
time for wine and good conversation. I also bought some
tulips to bring a little color in to the house and add a touch
of Spring, after all it was in the 60's.
The tulips were on sale for $8.99 a bunch at Martin's and my friend also brought
me flowers from Martins in fun bright colors.

The flowers my friend brought had a strange pink dye to them.
It turned the water pink and mu hands pink.
And on to what came in at the end of last week and the begining
of this week!
A beautiful old set of wicker, two sets of sofas, two arm chairs
and a side table.
Interesting wooden wall art
China, china and more china, all sets from the 20's to the 50's
and a sweet little Chinese painted desk.

Snow Days, Are We Done Yet?
How many days till Spring?
I dug my way out of the house yesterday to come
down and dig out the sidewalk in front of my store
and The SPACE. I walked down with a neighbor, ran
into another friend walking his dog and called a friend,
client and board member to come and help shovel. We
discussed using some furniture from my store in the SPACE,
looked at fabric samples for her living room, not a bad snow
day!
I need to invest in a good pair of snow boots. My car is stuck behind my house
and it will be Sunday before it makes it out of the driveway. I have items to deliver
to the UPS store. Any way, yesterday afternoon, a friend came by the store, and we
drove around town looking at the damage. We put his car in the garage downtown and
started walking to fine something open, we ended up at Baja Bean and spent the afternoon
eating salsa, guacamole and chips, drinking margaritas and shots of tequila. After that we
ended at Zynoda for wine and dirty Martini's.
Today is another story, the storm that almost completely shut down the
city of Staunton, has passed. Now we are in a melting mess. What a
difference a day makes. Back to work and reality. Happy Valentines
Day everyone!
A plus to all those people who posted great snow pictures on Facebook!
