Is It May or March

Today while at home, my new normal, I took advantage of the warmer temperatures
and spent some time outside. I took pictures of my new flowers in bloom in my garden
before the next cold front comes in again and everything my die from frost bight.
The pretty blue Columbine I planted last spring.
My Pincushion in full bloom.
I got this Poppy plant at Walmart on clearance, I hope it gets a chance to bloom. I
will bring my smaller potted plants in and cover the larger ones with trash bags, I may
even cover these guys in the beds with plastic grocery bags Friday night and Saturday
day and night.

My rose is in full bloom and there is an old fashioned Columbine hidden behind the
rose bush, it was planted by a previous gardener.
To end the day, I took Dr. Oz's advise and went out to play in the yard with Mandy and to
soak up the sun and get some vitamin C.

We played games, she ran circles around me like she was a puppy. Loved it.
I picked a pretty bouquet before everything gets frozen, why does May fell like March. Will
it ever warm up again?

Spring Plantings

I feel that it is finally Spring, the days are getting warmer, the nights are staying in the forties.
It is time to start planting my urns, planters and my hanging baskets.

I went to Walmart and Lowe's and bought some pretty plants to fill the area around my porch.
I over purchased, so the extra Dianthus went into the beds in the front of the house.
This is a planting from last year, it is either a Pincushion flower or Bachelors Button, we will see
when it blooms.

Impatients and Dianthus in planters around the porch, by June they will be full and colorful.

Red Geraniums in the hanging baskets on the front of the porch.
Last years Day Lilies coming back in the insulated urns and more impatients.

In my big metal urn I planted Snapdragons, Verbena, and Dainthus. This will be beautiful
in a couple of weeks. Spring has sprung.

My Farmhouse Porch and Garden Beds

Here is a sneak at my farmhouse front porch, this house is in the city,
I pretend that it is on a farm because it has a big yard with a garden shed
and a huge garage. Here is my heavy, large urn filed with what I bought for
my self for Mother's Day.

Mint, Rosemary, Dusty Miller, Impatient and Delphinium. My small urns on pedestals
by the front door with a sun hardy impatient.

My hanging baskets from Martens with fragrant Petunias and Verbena.
Flowers and foliage that I brought my last house that have come back this Spring.

Hydrangea and Snapdragons replanted.

I had two Dianthus plants, only one made it.
A Pincushion I planted in the ground this spring. And things I planted from seed from
the Wild Flower Seed Company.

Cosmos and baby Snapdragons
More pictures as things develop.
